Doing Kills Fear!

Have you ever faced a difficult task at work or had a tedious project that required heavy lifting? Have you ever juggled multiple things at once and you knew you couldn’t afford to be relaxed with one of them? Have you ever realized that a due date was approaching but you lacked the motivation to even start? You find yourself overwhelmed and paralyzed by the fear of falling short so you just avoid doing anything. You literally procrastinate and allow your anxious thoughts to crush your drive. You give up on completing your goals before you have taken the first step to accomplishment. If we allow it, our minds will prevent us from moving our feet toward progress. We will stay underneath the strength of a problem rather than embracing the opportunity to flex our own strengths. Oftentimes, we are more capable than we give ourselves credit because of the power of God that is at work within us. Scripture reminds us, With God all things are possible!

Dreaming without action will become a dream unrealized. In the act of doing, we kill fear’s opportunity to oppress us and take away the authority given to us by God to walk fearlessly through trials and obstacles. We are designed in the image of God. We are His children and are given access to supernatural abilities, gifts and brilliance. As we learn to rely on Him to guide us, we will find our true strengths and abilities come to fruition. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. So no matter where I find myself, whether it be in the valley or on the mountain top, I understand that I am desperate and weak. Therefore, I will look to the hills from whence cometh my help, all of my help comes from the Lord. So, let us not grow weary in our striving but let us trust the God of our abilities to bring out the best of us for the glory and fame of His name and kingdom.

Let us pray

Father, there is no where that we can go that you are not. You encompass all that we are and will ever strive to be. Teach us to trust you with every goal, Dream and tasks that you’ve placed in our hearts. You are our only help!

In Jesus name,

Amen!
